Conservatory for Contemporary Dance Art

Fall 2015

Preparing the next generation of
dancers, choreographers, and dance educators:
through performance, instruction, and one on one mentoring

Conservatory for Contemporary Dance offers dancers ages 13 to 21 the opportunity to study dance with a world class faculty and prepare for the next step in each young dancer's future plans. The dancers learn the skills needed to join a university dance program, a conservatory program or a dance company. The curriculum is designed to foster the talent of each dancer and build technique for the dance styles necessary to be prepared for the next step.

Our program brings guests artists to work with the dancers throughout the year giving the dancers the most cutting edge training available today in the South Bay. Dancers are encouraged and mentored in choreographic processes on an annual basis. Through the professional company, Mark Foehringer Dance Company, the dancers are given access the San Francisco Bay Area professional dance community such as: Dancing in the Park, Young Choreographer's Forum, and apprenticeships and performance opportunities.
